Local-first music player for Windows

Your music. Your machine. No subscription.

Vesari Stylus plays the library you already own - forever, free. No subscription, no account, no tracking - and no server to build or babysit. It just runs on the PC you already use; the librarian power tools unlock once, when you want them.

100,000 tracks, still smooth. Tested, not hoped.

Plex's lifetime is now $749.99 - ours is $199, once, and yours never triples on you.

Windows 10 & 11 today. macOS coming soon, right after launch.

See it in action

The whole app, in one honest look.

A tour of the current build - library, sound, ripping and tagging in one native Windows app. Shown with a placeholder demo library, so every cover and title here is generated rather than someone else's music.

Vesari Stylus home screen: a hi-res FLAC track playing with album art, library stats, library health and recent covers
Home

Your whole collection, the moment you open it.

Now playing with hi-res badges, one-glance library stats, a health score, recent covers and a made-for-you shelf - Vesari opens on a calm, complete view of the music you own. No feeds, no ads, no upsell wall.

Album browser showing a wall of album covers from your own library
Your library

A wall of your own covers.

Every album laid out edge to edge in its own art - embedded or fetched, always yours. Browse by sight the way a real collection feels, on a shelf that stays smooth even at 100,000 tracks.

Audio Lab with a parametric EQ curve, a live spectrum analyser and PPM output meters
Sound

An audio path you can see.

Graphic and fully parametric EQ, crossfeed, a live spectrum and real level metering - with the signal path drawn out from source to output, so you always know what's touching your audio. Switch it all off for a clean, direct route.

Devices screen selecting an external DAC on the WASAPI Exclusive engine at 24-bit / 192 kHz
Output

A direct line to your DAC.

Choose WASAPI Exclusive or ASIO to bypass the Windows mixer and send music at its native 24-bit / 192 kHz instead of resampling it. Every output device, its real capabilities and the exact format in play - on one screen.

RipCore CD ripping screen with a loaded disc and its track list
Ripping

Rip CDs you can actually trust.

RipCore reads your discs securely and bit-accurately, then hands you a log you can verify yourself - no black box. Your CDs become a pristine, tagged part of the library. Vinyl capture and restoration are coming next.

Tag Editor editing track metadata and album artwork with online metadata lookup
Metadata

Tag like a librarian.

Edit titles, artists and artwork by hand or in bulk, with MusicBrainz, Discogs and AcoustID lookups a click away. Fix the actual files once, properly - so every player you ever use reads them right.

Track list view showing hundreds of tracks with sortable columns for title, artist, album and format
At scale

Thousands of tracks, instantly sorted.

Search, filter by album, artist or genre, and sort on any column. Built in Rust to stay quick and light - the list scrolls smoothly even at 100,000 tracks, on the PC you already have.

Shown with a placeholder demo library from a current beta build - every cover, artist and title is generated, so the interface is real and the music is stand-in.

The arrangement you're in

You bought the files. You bought the DAC. Now you're renting the right to play them.

01

The music is on your drive. The hardware is yours. Yet the software that connects them keeps sending a bill - every month, or every time the lifetime price moves.

02

Your tags, your ratings, your years of curation sit inside someone else's database - and a server, an account, and a telemetry pipe you never asked for sit between you and a play button.

03

It is a toll booth on a road you already paid for. Vesari Stylus removes the booth: own the software once, keep your files and tags where they belong.

Why switch

A fair, plainly-stated comparison - losses included.

Built for the people leaving Plex, Roon and Audirvana: you already own the music and the hardware. Here is where each one stands - including where we're not there yet.

Plex lifetime rose from $249.99 to $749.99 on 1 July 2026; Roon lifetime $829.99; Audirvana $79.99/yr. Where a competitor leads - platforms, years in market, shipping bit-perfect output today - we say so. Vesari Stylus is new and Windows-only today; no decade-long track record yet. Prefer a free self-hosted server like Jellyfin or Navidrome? They're excellent if you enjoy building and maintaining a server - Vesari is the finished desktop app for everyone else, and it plays your library free too.

Capabilities

Audiophile-grade where it counts. Plainly named, honestly scoped.

01

Owned, not rented

The free tier plays your own library forever, uncapped - playback is never gated, never ad-supported, never sold. Buy once to unlock the rest; the version you have keeps working whether or not we do.

02

No account, no tracking

No cloud, no telemetry, no sign-in. Your library and your tags live on your machine. Metadata lookups are opt-in, never a prerequisite. Most "free" players make you the product; this one never does.

03

Librarian power tools

Super-Tag (MusicBrainz / AcoustID), Library Health bulk-fix, dedup, bulk tag-edit and ReplayGain scan - a capped free taste, uncapped on Pro & Lifetime. Tags and ReplayGain are written into your actual files, not a private database.

04

Light & native

Built in Rust - a small installer, not a bloated Electron download, and no background server running on your machine. It uses the web engine Windows already ships instead of bundling its own - and the library scrolls smoothly even at 100,000 tracks. Runs whether or not we exist.
